Matthew P. Schweitzer Dies at Local Hospital
Matthew Peter Schweitzer, 75, 910 Tower avenue. died Monday at a local hospital following a brief illness.
He was born in Mankato, Minn., December 7, 1874 and had resided in Superior for the past 61 years. He was city constable for 40 years. Mr. Schweitzer was a member of the Eagles No. 80.
Survivors include one brother, Henry, Falun; a sister, Mrs.
Dell Sipperley, Superior.
There will be a recitation of the rosary Wednesday, 8:30 p.m. at the LeSage funeral home.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, 8:15 a.m. from the LeSage funeral home and 9 a.m., at the Cathedral of Christ the King The Rt. Rev. Msgr. Joseph Annabring will officiate at a requiem high mass. Interment will be in the family lot Calvary Cemetery.
