CIVILIAN CONSERVATON CORPS: Enrolled 25 May 1933 at Ft. Snelling, MN and discharged with honor on 31 March 1934 from Camp Ripley, MN. From 25 May 1933 to 17 Nov 1933 was at the Sawhill Camp, MN as a truck driver. His performance was satisfactory. From 18 Nov 1933 to 31 Mar 1934 was at Camp Ripley, MN as a laborer. Performance was satisfactory. Eyes were 20/20. Height was 68"(5'8"). Weight was 151 lbs. Missing Teeth- right lower #5 tooth, left upper #5 and #6 teeth and left lower #5 on 24 May 1933. Two degrees flat feet.
Trade or occupation before enrolling - odd jobs. Education, 9th grade. Certificate of Discharge states: blue eyes, brown hair, ruddy complexion, white and 5'9" in height.

MILITARY: Served in Navy as a cook during WW II and was stationed on the East Coast, Scotland and England.
He joined Navy Seabees when his twins were born. Source is daughter Gloria.

OCCUPATION: Ham boner at Deckers Meat Packing Plant (Armour & Co.) in Mason City, IA from about 1948 to about 1975.

He quit school in the 6th grade to care for his father who was dying of colon cancer. Source is daughter Gloria.
