MILITARY: Served in WWII with 3rd Army European Theatre and Invasion Forces going into Casablanca in 1942. Served exactly 3 years overseas.

After the war, while Eisenhower was president of Columbia University, Jack wrote him a letter expressing his confidence in Eisenhower as being a fine President of the United States if he cared to run for that office. Jack received a short note from Eisenhower, thanking him but saying that now was not a good time. The note was typed on Columbia University paper, Office of the President, but was personally signed by Eisenhower. It has become a family treasure.

EMPLOYMENT: Employee of the County of San Diego as Auditor and Appraiser Supervisor in the Business Division of the Tax Assessor's Office for 14 years.

EDUCATION: Graduate of San Diego State University
